Makeup artist and beauty expert Karol Young Moses is the owner and operator of I.C. Artistry. Whether on set, in print, or in person Karol's natural skill and ability to work with people of all ages and skin tones is apparent. Her talent for makeup artistry really began at about age 12 when she started applying makeup on her teen-aged cousins, friends and family members for parties and special events. It was only after several years working as an executive in the cosmetics industry that Karol realized her true passion was helping others bring their inner beauty outward.
Karol's work has been seen on the red carpet at the Emmy Awards, the BET Awards, the Miss California Pageant, on the runway as well as in national magazines and advertisements. Her celebrity clients include Lindsey Shaw, Robert Buckley, Robin Givens, Kate French, news anchor Chris Wallace, Alexandra Paul, Mark Hamill, Mel Harris, Evander Holyfield, Natalie Martinez, Sofia Milos, Patricia Lopez, LL Cool J, pilates guru Mari Winsor and Kim Porter to name a few. She has worked on the set of shows for Fox Television and Urivision, infomercials, and several films and music videos.
A graduate of the University of Southern California with a degree in Communications, Karol can also be seen on-camera as a regular guest on Good Morning San Diego and has appeared on NBC 7/39, KTLA and San Diego Living offering makeup tips to viewers. She was also named one of San Diego's best makeup artists by 10 News.
A gifted speaker, Karol has been a special guest at conferences, makeup and cosmetology schools, worked with pageants as a consultant, director and commentator and hosts workshops and seminars on fashion and beauty throughout Southern California. In addition, Karol has helped countless brides look flawless on their special day.
